ISLI blue leather bags on a table at the Mudam Store in Luxembourg

Mudam Luxembourg x ISLI

Collaboration

ISLI is represented at the Mudam Store in Luxembourg, inside the Musée d'art moderne Grand-Duc Jean. Our pieces sit in the shop of a museum devoted to contemporary art, chosen by a team whose daily work is deciding what belongs next to it.

A museum store is a jury

Nothing enters a museum shop by accident. Every object on those tables has been selected against the same question: does this belong in a place dedicated to contemporary creation? Seeing our bags pass that filter, and stay, is one of the recognitions we value most.

The Mudam Store gathers design objects, editions and pieces from independent studios across Europe. Standing among them places ISLI in a conversation that is bigger than fashion: about craft, colour and shape as things worth looking at for their own sake.

A dialogue with institutions

For a studio drawn in Paris and made in Casablanca, the presence at Mudam creates a dialogue between the brand and institutions dedicated to contemporary art and design. It is a different kind of visibility from a store window: slower, more deliberate, and closer to how we think about the work ourselves.

Our pieces are made by hand, in small runs, from recycled leather. A museum audience reads those choices fluently, and the questions visitors ask there are the ones we most enjoy answering.

Elsewhere

We wrote about the day our pieces arrived in Luxembourg in the journal. The museum itself is at mudam.com.
