Fabriqué à Paris, and what the label actually certifies
There is a detail people miss about this collection: it is made in two places, by two different pairs of hands.
The bags travel, the earrings do not
The leather goods are drawn in Paris and then cut, assembled and finished in Casablanca, alongside Tarik and his workshop. That is a collaboration, and it is what gives the bags their construction.
The earrings are different. They are made entirely by hand by Karima, in her studio in Paris, and they carry the Fabriqué à Paris label.
What that label means
Fabriqué à Paris is not a marketing phrase. It is awarded by the City of Paris and it certifies that a piece was genuinely manufactured within the city, by a workshop that can prove it.
For a small studio, that certification is worth having for a plain reason: it removes the ambiguity. Designed in Paris and made in Paris are two very different claims, and plenty of brands rely on the first while implying the second.
Two crafts, one and the same collection
Between Paris and Casablanca, the two crafts answer each other and feed the same creative language.
A geometry imagined for leather can be reinterpreted in wood and metal. A colour pairing born on an earring can then go on to inspire a bag.
The materials and the techniques differ, but the shapes, the colours and the identity remain deeply ISLI.
